Kevin O’Leary, an investor and television show Shark Tank Star, will expand on Beanstox, which he co-founded, with new features that allow customers to invest in Bitcoin and Gold through exchange sales funds.
All transactions and holdings remain within your Beanstox account. This structure provides clarity and ease of use, especially for clients who are unfamiliar with cryptographic custody.
CEO says the assets offer inflation hedge
Beanstox CEO Connor O’Brien has announced the launch of a new ETF system. According to a press release, investors offer an easy way to hold alternative assetss. Customers can start investing for just $20.
“Bitcoin and gold allow for a different response from traditional investments to market conditions such as inflation. The difference helps diversify the portfolio. Our clients can do this easily and make it possible without the need to become experts.”
Kevin O’Leary, co-founder and chairman of Beanstox, also commented on the expansion. He is widely known as “Mr. Wonderful” on Shark Tank, a television show in which entrepreneurs give business presentations to angel investors. O’Leary said, “By investing in Bitcoin and Gold using ETFs on Beanstox accounts, investors were able to benefit from the additional diversification.”
The company also noted that premium subscribers now have the option to choose between iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and Ishares Gold Trust (IAU). Importantly, they are not facing trading commissions or additional costs.
O’Leary projects Bitcoin for $250,000 in 2025
O’Leary has significantly changed his view on Bitcoin in recent years. He once called it “trash,” but he says crypto-related assets, including coins, tokens and platform stakes, currently account for almost 20% of his portfolio.
Speaking at a consensus conference in Toronto in June 2025, O’Leary encouraged faster regulations and warned that the industry had “scattered against a wall of managed assets.”
He further argued that only decisive actions by Congress, such as passing genius, could unleash what he described as a trillion dollar opportunity.
He also predicted that Bitcoin could reach $250,000 by 2025, highlighting his bullish outlook despite previous skepticism.
Changes in businesses under regulations
This move is because institutional interest in digital assets grows under more defined regulatory conditions. The US and European frameworks show support for regulated access to the crypto market, paving the way for mainstream adoption.
