EthCC (Ethereum Community Conference), Europe’s largest annual Ethereum conference by the community and for the community, will be held again for the 9th EthCC(9) in Cannes, France from March 30th to April 2nd, 2026.
“2026 is the year of professionalization for Ethereum and the broader crypto ecosystem. We are seeing impressive momentum across the board. Fusaka’s increased scalability of Ethereum, the increase in daily active addresses, and adoption by banks such as JP Morgan all point to a period of rapid convergence between TradFi and DeFi,” said Jérôme de Tichet, Founder and President of Ethereum France.
“To build on this momentum, we are proud to support the first edition of Agora this year, with Kaiko’s partnership to create the premier forum for institutional investors to explore the future of on-chain finance. Ethereum will be at the center of this transformation in 2025, and we are only growing in 2026, so we are excited to bring the community together at this important moment.”
As cryptocurrencies and mainstream finance move ever closer, experts from around the world will gather in Cannes this spring to explore the industry’s next steps. This year’s edition focuses on developments that are shaping how blockchain integrates with traditional finance, as regulatory frameworks like MiCA continue to evolve and the US grapples with the CLARITY Act.
With new crypto tax reporting rules providing clarity across Europe and the MiCA framework establishing comprehensive standards by mid-2026, the EU is building a solid framework for the growth of digital assets. These developments set clearer guidelines for exchanges, stablecoins and institutions, positioning the European market as a global leader in the field of digital innovation.
With this institutional introduction, EthCC will provide an important venue for industry leaders to discuss the future of on-chain finance.
“We look forward to building on last year’s success. The fact that Robinhood and Vitalik Buterin chose EthCC as their flagship announcement venue last year shows that this conference and the community we represent are leaders in blockchain finance. We welcome even more institutional partners this year and look forward to helping them understand that the future of finance is built on Ethereum.” Bettina Boone Faroul, director of EthCC, said:
EthCC(9) and The Agora will bring together over 400 speakers from around the world for four days of talks, workshops, and community-driven side events. Featured speakers include Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. Jean-Marc Stenger, CEO of Société Générale Forge, and Stani Krechov, CEO of Aave.
While institutional interest grows, the conference’s mission remains clear: to champion those building a positive, open, and rich Ethereum ecosystem.
