According to an announcement on June 24th, Grayscale has announced a new single asset investment vehicle, focusing on space and time (SXT) tokens.
The fund, officially named Space and Time Trust, provides accredited investors with direct exposure to one of the crypto sector’s latest data infrastructure projects. Individual and institutional participants can subscribe to the Trust daily.
Microsoft-assisted Protocol aims to combine distributed architectures with enterprise-grade data capabilities, with grayscale mobility signals increasing institutional interest in its long-term potential. This development follows the launch of the public mainnet of space and time.
Following the news, Cryptoslate data shows that the value of SXT skyrocketed over 15%, rising to $0.075 at press time.
Why Grayscale opened up trust in space and time
Space and Time provides a distributed database that allows smart contracts to securely access on-chain, off-chain, and cross-chain data.
The platform indexes data from blockchain networks such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, and SUI, making it available through a decentralized valtter network. The goal is to bring transparency, speed, and integrity to Defi, AI, and beyond data-driven applications.
This protocol provides a Zero Knowledge (ZK) validation data layer that supports complex cross-chain queries. Its architecture allows smart contracts to securely access history, off-chain and multi-network data.
Crypto Developers can retrieve data with encryption guarantees using platform proofs from the SQL Engine, a subsecond ZK coprocessor. This allows applications to retrieve almost instantly verified data without trusting central parties.
Reihane Sharif Ascury, director of products and research at Grayscale, explained that the project was designed to fill a key gap in blockchain architecture.
According to her, it is a timely innovation in evolving data landscapes and distributed computing. She highlighted the project’s focus on verifiable data as a key enabler of trusted AI models and smart contract execution.
She said:
“As we enter the next age of computing, transparency is paramount… (space and time) is a project that combines blockchain technology with enterprise-grade data architectures, enabling a wide range of use cases with Web 2.0 and Web 3.0.”
