The consortium led by the founding force behind Japan’s Metaplanet, known as the “Micro Strategy of Asia,” announced on July 3 that a Thai domestic domestic company will acquire Limited through a voluntary tender offer.
Cross-border alliances include UTXO Management, SORA Ventures, Kliff Capital, Simon Gerovich, Moon Inc., Asiastrategy and Mythos Group. The transaction marks a major move by well-known Bitcoin-centric investors to expand the footprint of their overall Asian financial strategy.
Co-founded by Tyler Evans and Bitcoin Magazine founder David Bailey, UTXO Management invests in Bitcoin opportunities in the public and private markets. Founded by Jason Fang, Sora Ventures is known for supporting more than 40 companies in the Bitcoin, Defi and the Web3 sector.
Thailand’s leading alternative asset manager, Kliff Capital, has also participated in the bid. The company was previously founded by Goldman Sachs and KKR, entrepreneur Tanat Thananibitt and renowned financial strategist Annie Yang.
Jerovic and his fans are at the forefront of Metaplanet’s Bitcoin native financial model. The bids include Moon, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and ASIASTRAGEY, which is listed by NASDAQ, which invests in public Asian companies with the Bitcoin Ministry of Finance strategy.
Mythos Group is a multi-strategic digital asset holder operating in venture funding and business transactions with the Ministry of Corporate Treasury, and is part of the acquisition efforts.
The proposed acquisition combines institutional investors in Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand and the US with leaders from the Bitcoin Treasury. It is expected to accelerate the adoption of digital assets within Thailand’s capital markets.
Financial terms for the public offering have not been disclosed.
