of it here’s how to capitalize on crypto’s killer
app and a look at last week’s top performing cryptos tweets of the week heroes and villains
and much more besides this is the Coin Bureau News Live gm Coin Bureau Crypto Familia and welcome
to another episode of the Coin Bureau weekly news live stream my name of course is Nick and Guy
on a scale of 1 to 10 how bullish are you feeling for this week what a question to fire at me at
the top of the stream uh I would say I’m about a five i’m Yeah I’m Well it’s it’s great bitcoin’s
above 87K we’ve seen a bit of a pump i don’t think it’s anything to get too excited about but it’s
definitely good news it’s definitely Yeah i mean 87K I think that there’s a potential chance we
could hit 90K within the next two weeks let’s see it’s the big question on everyone’s mind
of course it’s mostly still being driven by macro yeah but we’ve got a lot to cover today of
course we’ll be talking about Bitcoin as well as uh the feud between Mr powell and Mr trump go
epic battle and of course the one of the stable the stable coin sector one of the fastest growing
and most important use cases for crypto right now absolutely but at the top of the stream let’s
go and take a look at what’s going on with the price of Bitcoin uh firstly I will let’s roll
back first of all to last week just so we can recap and then we’ll move on to what’s happening
right now because I believe Sailor did buy just at the top of the stream okay he did indeed michael
Sailor well done Sailor so um speaking of Sailor let’s roll back to last week Monday you’ll recall
Sailor bought then as well 285 million Bitcoin uh in dollars in Bitcoin about 3,500 uh
BTC and uh that was al we also did close a very small CME gap last Monday as Bitcoin did
rally out of that announcement and in indeed the beginning of the week um we uh and of course
uh that was bullishness that led into Tuesday as Bitcoin hovered around $84,000 mhm um and
then on Wednesday unfortunately they started selling off because Nvidia came out and said that
they would take at least a 5.5 billion dollar hit uh from new Trump curbs on exports of chips
yes this is despite uh Jensen Hang going over to Mara Lago for for dinner with his smooing and
his whining and dining unfortunately didn’t work guy yeah maybe maybe the toy in the Happy Meal
he brought wasn’t wasn’t up to scratch who knows that’s true um there was also reports of Chinese
potential selling actually local governments potentially selling some Bitcoin which did spook
the markets unfortunately um and then un speaking of PAL he came out uh on uh Wednesday evening
and he was talking uh giving a presentation and he said I quote tariffs are significantly larger
than anticipated and the same is likely to be true of the economic effects which will include higher
inflation and slower growth and you can I think you can really sort of if you read between the
lines there you can really kind of get a sense of his tone can’t you like he sounds pretty
exasperated i mean this is a man who’s been fighting for he was I mean if I was in Jerome’s
place I would probably would lose a little world to live i got to keep up this Fed speak you
know persona for so long yeah it was measured of course and it did cause the price of or did cause
stocks and Bitcoin to fall although surprisingly Bitcoin held up better than the NASDAQ which
is interesting because we’ll come back to this question around decoupling Thursday of course
though someone wasn’t very happy with Jerome’s comments mate no yeah no um Trump has been he’s
been sort of baiting Powell a little bit recently and I mean this is Yeah he basically wants rates
to go down and he’s this is his way of indicating that well yeah eggs egg prices are down apparently
so even eggs even eggs mate so even eggs even eggs um so anyways he’s not happy with PAL and we’ll be
we’ll be talking about this feud with Powell and Trump a bit later um but that was out on Thursday
and that obviously spooked the markets a lot um we did have some ETF flows last week okay a little
bit over there something with some some black days yeah okay it ain’t much but it’s something there’s
still some demand there yeah well you know it it’s first first slowly and then all at once exactly
we hope we hope okay some data worth watching um this is interesting this is from a K33 report last
week and this is the rolling 30 the rolling 7-day um realized volatility and this is interesting
specifically as it relates to the question around decoupling as you’ll see the equity volatility
in both the NASDAQ and the S&P 500 was higher than bitcoins during this pre previous situation
with the liberation day volatility which is really interesting um you don’t see that very often
you don’t see that often exactly i mean look at the historical it’s only been a few times in the
past with the in the red charts and the red bars when it has been the case um although that may not
be remain because of course exchanges are losing coins at a rapid rate in terms of supply this
is the uh absorption rate it basically measures the amount of coins uh in terms of supply newly
mined coins in terms of the change on exchanges uh in ch ex exchange balances versus the amount
that’s that’s newly mined and at over over two times more exchange flow was flowing out of
exchanges than new bitcoin that was mined over the past few months which is basically
showing that yeah if there’s less supply on exchanges less potential liquidity more potential
for volatile price movements yeah okay so exchange balance is dwindling dwindling exactly the lowest
lowest level for quite some time now actually all right in absolute terms and in the absolute and
and in the change we mentioned there so coming back to what’s happening what’s coming this week
and what’s happening as I mentioned at the top of the stream Sailor did indeed buy today uh 555
million so it’s ratcheting up again gosh that is a that’s quite a punchy one yeah 538,000
BTC you know congratulations Michael Sailor of course he stacking it and keeps on stacking of
course he didn’t um he he did allude to this with his sailor tracker yesterday so although this
probably happened last week it’s good to see that he’s still stacking sats okay um and we did
indeed open today as I mentioned at 87K we broke through 87K this morning um and this appears to
have been driven by a collapse in the dollar yeah so yeah people still selling out of US assets
dixie selling out of the US assets the Treasury Re yields did pick up a bit um and um this is
interesting as well because gold is also rallying gold’s breaking an all-time high of 3,300 and I
I included this chart because this is interesting this is the historical price of Bitcoin and gold
going back to 2016 and there was a lot of talk about whether Bitcoin could potentially follow
gold as it has in the past from the perspective of all-time highs so if you look there back in 2021
you had gold peak in a few months prior to Bitcoin going through its all-time highs similarly you saw
it again early in 2024 last year before Bitcoin hit through 73K and indeed today we’ve seen gold
at an all-time high now the question is will we see Bitcoin follow suit in the next in the next
few months and it’s entirely possible given many of the factors we we be talking about in terms
of global macro instability okay okay well gold is yeah gold is having a hell of a year yeah there
is another factor driving gold today specifically which we’ll come back to a bit with the tweets
for the week y um so two quick charts I want to point out before we moving on um one is this is
the daily chart of Bitcoin and and we can see the Bitcoin has broken out of that downward trend line
and we’ve also broken above the 30-day exponential moving average which generally means that there
could be around a change and some bullish momentum going into the week okay and we’ve also seen on an
hourly chart we’ve broken out of a range here so again confirming that potentially bullish momentum
so yeah um of course I will say if you guys want to keep up to date obviously what will depend
what happens in the markets today right because um the markets are open in about 20 minutes
in the US the futures markets are pointing down the nicay is down and yet in that in those
conditions bitcoin is still up which is good that is heartening that’s heartening so from the
perspective of the decoupling the decoupling potentially there extreme fear driving the market
I saw then I think the crypto sentiment index is sort of slightly better than yeah I think we’ve
been we’ve been so jaded But be so jaded it’s like nothing takes a lot more yeah um it’s we dead
inside basically um so obviously guys if you want to keep up to date with the daily moves in the
Bitcoin and what’s happening I will refer you to the Coin Bureau Trading Channel here with the
QR code in the top right both Erin and Dan both have a video out erin’s video is breaking down why
Bitcoin’s rally now could be very bullish for this week okay and then Dan has also broken down why
Bitcoin could be headed higher where Bitcoin could be headed as well as what it could mean for some
top altcoins this week so both of those videos are live now so we’ll go and check out the Coin
Bureau Trading Channel and see what they got to say yeah yeah check out the uh check out the Gigab
Brains on uh on Coin Bureau Trading okay um before we move on would you like a quick sentiment check
what people are talking about in the comments lots of comments hopefully they’re comments about
market and not our appearance for once um yes that’s why I don’t read the comments live but I’m
like what are these guys saying about me i think there might be some comments about the about the
markets no they’re all about our appearance uh King Jaden is pointing out that Canada launches
the first Soul ETF ah yes bullish bullish uh I mean that could be a sign of things to come where
Canada leads the USA follows when it comes to ETFs uh Drew A is wondering are we so back today huh
are we so back i wouldn’t say so back but it’s encouraging definitely to see what’s happening
with uh the Bitcoin rallying whilst the rest of the well stock markets are falling and it’s
reinforcing this notion of a a safe haven asset rallying with gold yeah um FTHY is uh encouraging
us to uh sell all and enter the rare fish market NFA you come here for the crypto hour what does
he mean rare fish in terms of fish t like fish for pets or fish to eat do I look like I know i don’t
know well I mean you need to specify cuz I’m going if he’s given me he’s telling me some advice I’d
like to know fyi could we have some clarification clarification what rare fish do you mean do you
mean live fish do you mean is it fish to eat is this We’re looking for a side hustle in case
market okay we we we looking for a side hustle in crypto in case crypto goes Yeah exactly we need
a pivot in case it all goes downhill we’ll become fish bureau fishers zachariah Fitzwwater says “Boy
I hope Guy doesn’t look homeless today.” What this is like We lent him a shirt guys is we took him to
the thrift shop and we basically thought look you know the charity shop will help us out he’s a pro
pro crypto guy you know he holds ETH we need to Oh dear oh dear uh Regaining Life says the golden
bull run is on the way that’s the spirit yes that’s what we see um and before we move on I’ll
just leave you with this from Candyo guy equals George Clooney today uh Nick equals Brad Pitt
circa 1994 what are you saying like what well so I look like a man in his 50s and Nick looks like a
man what in his I represent that’s that’s a candy your alt account god that figures that figure
I I see I see what it’s all about okay well I mean sent Yeah there are lots of comments on our
appearance but uh I I take that personally as a good sign um I’m thinking uh someone is asking is
Nick looking like Jesus just for Easter oh yeah man of course i’m being holy today holy cryptoism
bless in the crypto markets very good very good okay um so I think generally sentiment seems seems
quite good there um I bet where sentiment isn’t quite so good do you see what I’m doing here yeah
well good that was one good one so smooth oh thank you sentiment probably isn’t holding up quite
so well over at the Federal Reserve um Jerome Powell head of the Fed the man who has arguably
sort of stewarded the US economy through the last few years bit of a black mark against his name
uh for saying inflation was likely transitory uh around the time of the uh pandemic but ever
since then has basically kept a very firm hand on the tiller and I would say has arguably managed
to engineer a soft landing for the US economy or had managed to engineer a soft landing for the
US economy um so basically has done over the last few years I think a very good a very difficult
job pretty darn well however um one person who disagrees uh is the one person you don’t want
disagreeing on this and that is the president it was indeed likely this would come to a head
right he’s had been taking jabs at pal for quite some time going back even to 2018 to be honest and
uh so this was in response as we mentioned to the uh comments by Jerome obviously not looking not
talking about any sort of rate cuts and indeed it doesn’t seem like there’ll be rate cuts coming
into the May meeting so he he goes on a tirade and he says that um uh Pal’s termination cannot come
fast enough now this obviously freaked everyone out because it means could he potentially they
thinking could he potentially be looking to fire Pal and this raised many questions many articles
many analysts many um commentators can Trump fire the Fed chair Jerome Pal yeah and yeah I mean
it’s worth it’s worth bringing up isn’t it that that this is a discussion very similar to the
discussion that we were having a few months ago uh around Gary Gendler indeed yes as a federal
employee and it’s important for other reasons as well because um I actually broke this down in
a tweet in a in a long tweet in terms of what it could mean and the implications right now but just
as a TLDDR it’s not without historical precedence so obviously there have been many presidents who
sparred with the central banker the only time when it has actually had a Fed governor resign
he didn’t he didn’t he wasn’t he wasn’t fired he he was kind of forced to resign was Truman and
McCabe I think back in the 1950s and um you can’t terminate the Fed governor without cause and
cause is based obviously like egregious uh you know egregious lack of duty or whatever so there’s
many definitions of what is cause although it’s it’s based on an historical case called Humphre
versus exe executor versus the United States and basically there is a case going on right now
in the U Supreme Court as it relates to two Biden appointees who challenged their dismissal um
and the Supreme Court justices um will have to decide on that and there potentially if they side
with the with Trump that they were allowed he was allowed to fire them they say it could pretend
what could happen with PAL okay um so it’s it’s very it’s very tenuous right now i think that um
must also point out that many people think this is a bad idea firstly Palms himself his stance is
that he said that the law would not allow for his removal he would not leave even if if Trump asked
him to he intends to serve out his term until May 2026 yeah so he’s got just over a year left to
go exactly a year left to go and um yeah it’s many people think it’s a bad idea um yeah I mean I
think obviously even Pal’s potential replacement I think um that Kevin Walsh I think is his name that
Trump has been interviewing said let him serve out his term okay so I mean presumably even if Trump
even if Trump did feel that he was able to fire Powell then Powell could just refuse to go and he
remains uh according to the law he would remain in office while this went to the Supreme Court and
I mean I can’t imagine this is the sort of thing that would be resolved very quickly so I mean even
if Trump was to fire try and fire Powell tomorrow he could you know he could still conceivably serve
out the rest of his term he could indeed and and exactly he’ll challenge it he’ll go to the court i
think we have a tweet here from this guy from Joe Joe um he broke it down exactly what could happen
he would ignore it he would continue working he would challenge it and then this goes through
through the courts imagine what that could mean for these months of uncertainty it’s just crazy
yeah well this is where it gets serious doesn’t it because like as we said Trump has already
Trump has already tried to fire some Biden era officials he spoke about firing Gary Gendler
obviously to sort of get the crypto community on side which worked very well um and now he’s
talking about firing Jerome Pal but I think when it comes to firing the head of the central bank
this is really serious because this could this could really impact on America’s this could have
a global impact indeed for sure and um Bessant has also said this is a terrible idea this is this
Treasury Secretary well not a terrible idea he said that he backs Fed independence obviously
um and yeah you this massive um it’s massive unquantifiable risk that’s the big thing because
it would severely undermine the market confidence and the scale and fallout is so vast and uncertain
that no one really knows it would have a massive breakdown in the trust of the Federal Reserve the
trust of monetary policy and it’s also important because it would set a precedent now if Trump’s
done it what do you think the next president is going to come and if the Fed is no longer
independent that they could just turn on the central banker money machine when they want and
I guess also as well if Trump is able to you know if Trump was able to fire the head of the Federal
Reserve and therefore presumably have control over monetary policy then that would really not only
d um dent America’s reputation but really shake confidence in its institutions wouldn’t it and
this is what the Fed is you know the Fed acts independently of the executive of the of the White
House the president and also of Congress so it’s a check and balance on executive and congressional
power and if Pal was fired that check and balance I guess would be effectively removed yeah I think
this is one of the most sacrosanked independent uh agencies within the federal government and um
the markets would completely collapse i think I mean uh it would lead to massive selloffs in the
dollar in treasuries indeed even I think in the stock markets many people think oh it’s going to
mean money printing well you know to be honest it does what does money printing help if the value
of the stocks is completely crashing because the dollar is completely falling through the floor
and I guess the strength of US assets the strength of US stocks but also of you know obviously
US bonds US treasuries that that strength is derived from the fact that America is not only
very rich and powerful but also very stable and you know it does have this it does have this
very um well- constructed democracy with checks and balances so again if that if that image is is
destroyed then yeah that I’m sure there are plenty of of foreign and domestic investors who would
who would just lose confidence in the strength and integrity of American markets yeah and imagine
this scenario just one sec we’ll pull up this image of uh one sec we’ll pull up this no next
one guys imagine this scenario guy oh my word yes yeah because obviously this is going to that’s if
he is behind the money printer obviously he wants easy monetary policy because he wants rates down
he wants to ease the economy because of damage potential damage to the economy caused by tariffs
which someone else caused yes um but it would mean inflation potentially also hyperinflation um
but there would be one asset class potentially that could do well in this outcome uh potentially
gold hard money like gold and a digital currency potentially heard a bitcoin digital currency you
say have you heard of Bitcoin before guy it rings a bell it rings a bell that could do well okay so
I’ve heard a few people a few crypto influencers tell me that this Bitcoin this digital asset
would not listen to them are you oh god what an awful It was suggest It was suggested video this
British guy came on he talked about Bitcoin i was like he sounds smart but he you know I listened
to the video and I was like God he’s not really that smart i think I know the guy you mean yeah
awful charlatan um yeah so well okay so in in theory Trump trying to fire Pal or actually
firing Pal could be good for risk assets like Bitcoin i’ve got to say though as much as I would
like my Bitcoin bags to go to go up again uh I’m not sure having sort of market meltdown chaos the
destruction of faith in America’s institutions i’m not sure that’s a price I think Game of Thrones
you got your Bitcoin wallet but you’re basically starving for food and you’re basically having to
go and fight people for like you know with sto you know so in the trying to buy squirrel bitcoin
yeah okay well uh yeah so this is uh this is a a big possible um a big possible tail risk to watch
out for certainly I don’t know i kind of feel this is Trump sort of making making a noise and I don’t
know that’s a very ambitious call guy yeah let’s see yeah these tariff things are nothing to worry
about okay wall of fame and shame guys pull it up [Music] okay okay on i can’t wait oh god dude so wait butad is I I can’t remember
who’s buttthead again is I think I’m buttthead aren’t I okay good well that’s fine at least
I’ll be look crazier but yeah you can be the buttthead bro got to say Nick I’ve come
out of that much better than you i know jesus you guys look like a methhead bro seriously
seriously the AI freaked out man you at least guys looking like a bold dapper gun i look like a
[ __ ] crackhead guys that’s what That’s what Nick hair is nick’s hair is really like I’m telling you
hours in makeup before one of these things it’s just it’s just it’s just true to life wow that is
uh that is a special one i might get that framed oh no beautiful okay i forgot what we’re talking
about that who’s on the wall of the fame we speak of him look at him i’m the fed chair until May
2026 jerome Pal yeah here he is man he’s not No one’s going to move him down you know he’s
the real MVP you go man yeah i’m sure he needs I’m sure he needs a bit of a boost he’s looking
forward to that retirement I can tell you yeah oh yeah he’s just got to he’s just got to do another
13 months and then he’s out he’s off fishing um so yes Jerome Powell on the wall of fame this week
meanwhile on the wall of shame we have Bass yeah so if I recall you probably know bit more about
this than me but is they lost they launched a a cryptocurrency called content coins right or some
sort of a concept of meme coins was these content coins right yeah so this is this is actually
quite interesting i initially sort of dismissed this out of hand as another sort of like you
know calling memecoins by another name and kind of digging into it there is there is something
quite interesting about it however the reason why I’ll I’ll get into that in a minute the reason why
bass is on the wall of shame this week is because uh last week they tweeted out bases for everyone
um now uh as anyone been in crypto for a while will know there’s lots of speculation that Bass
the Coinbase is layer 2 that has been extremely popular extremely successful since it was uh
since it went live um gosh a couple of years ago now there has been a lot of speculation that
Bass would release a token at some point now this basis for everyone came from Bass’s official
account um and people aped in surprise surprise i mean obviously obviously yeah and the whole
marketing stick and it’s also the timing right so it’s like now is not the best time guys like
read the room you know this is Salana playbook maybe like a year ago you’re like a year late you
know so yeah uh I think it just didn’t land it didn’t land well and especially the fact that it’s
people associated with Coinbase and all that and um yeah I think you know it it’s that sort
of thing you tweet out you know that the speculation around a around a potential base
token you know that people are going to ape in now I think the um I think the chart for this
particular coin has recovered a little bit but you know at one point it was looking it was looking
predictably grim um the interesting thing is that um uh Jesse uh Jesse who’s in charge of base with
Jesse Pollock was saying um you know the this isn’t a meme coin this is the idea this is related
to a social media protocol that Bass and Coinbase have been working on zora Zora uh and this is the
idea that of of tokenizing bits of content so a tweet can become a tok can be tokenized instantly
and they’re saying you know I think their argument was this is not necessarily for speculation this
is for you know this is this is so that you can own your own tweets or whatever this is it’s it is
an interesting idea I will say not for speculation tweeted the famous last words in crypto uh yeah
so based on the war this is an interesting idea um and I think it deserves uh I think it deserves
a hearing um but I don’t think base handle this one very well yeah no doubt moving on though
now on to the next story now this is probably the biggest use case for cryptocurrency with the
best product market fit we’ve seen this year and this is of course the stable coin revolution right
yes so in you can just see the the total supply of stable coins over the past year has just ballooned
right over to $234 billion mhm and I don’t know if you saw the stat last week but um apparently last
year just in the last year stable coins settled more dollar value 27.6 trillion than Visa that’s
incredible yeah it’s crazy right that’s incredible and look at that look at that growth from from
virtually nothing just a few years ago to uh to overtake and I mean you imagine that for 2025 that
that growth is only going to continue the visa is going to get even further left in the dust exactly
especially with pro crypto regulations which which we’ll get on um Standard our friends over at
Standard Chartered the proverbial prediction givers mhm they love prediction oh man they’re
going to they went from Bitcoin to Ethereum to Salana and now they thought let’s go with
stable coin market cap and supply mhm you obviously do have to apply a standard charted
discount to these predictions cuz they’re quite they’re quite bullish too bullish just slash
it slash a standard charted prediction in half two trillion by okay let’s just let’s slash it by
half 1 trillion by 2028 I think that’s reasonable um and uh it’s also important stable coins are
also important for the US government for US do dollar dominance especially because stable coin
issuers could be the marginal buyer for a lot of this US government debt which in case you
guys haven’t noticed has been selling off quite recently yes and we did a video about this around
how stable coin issuers who obviously have to buy US treasuries to back the stable coins they issue
could be the marginal buyer for stable coins yeah now obviously uh for stable coins to really thrive
um you need regulation and as it so happens two bits of regulation which we’ve talked about a few
times in the past are grinding their way through uh Congress so the Genius Act um is in front of
the Senate at the moment the stable act is in front of the house uh the stable act recently
passed the house committee um and meanwhile uh the genius act uh recently cleared the senate
banking committee as well so they are making their way very slowly through congress stable genius
stable genius exactly um so yeah and interestingly someone we’ve just been talking about at great
length Jerome Pal um has turned quite uh favorable quite positive on Exactly which is crazy given
if you think back to two years ago the guidance that were given around the risks stable coins
pose to the banking system and even questioning should we have a CBDC and now it’s stable coins
um there’s also a lot of news some just some news last week about stable coins for one I think
Visa joins the Paxos stable coins consortium uh which is obviously would include the likes
of Robin Hood Kraken Galaxy Digital Anchorage uh digital and bullish and then now this is a
really important one bank of America reportedly wants to compete with Tether and Circle i bet it
does yeah obviously it’s like who doesn’t we’d all love to compete with them but they got a lot of
potential because they’ve got massive supply and distribution think about Bank of America as one
of the largest banks in the US right yeah yeah so obviously these companies and these banks
have seen Circle and Tether and particularly Tether obviously seen just I mean these guys
Tether basically found a way to print money didn’t they it’s just a money printer that’s it
um an insanely profitable company Tether so it’s natural that many banks and other companies want
a piece of this and if we get this legislation which we will at some point at some point we’ll
either get the Stable Act or the Genius Act passed or maybe you know a mishmash of the two
the Stable Genius Act as you said um in which case I think we can expect to see an absolute
explosion of stable coins yeah exactly um but of course now the question many of you may have
and indeed something we’ve thought about ourselves um is well this is one thing where how does retail
get involved in the stable coin uh you know the stable coin proliferation right this this massive
growth in the stable coin sector because you know stable coins are issued by the likes of tether I
mean obvious unfortunately I don’t think tether equity is on sale right now even if it was I
don’t think you could buy one could buy it because apparently appar I don’t know I don’t know heard
that there’s a very limited share off the shares out and all that and obviously costs a bit of
money um but yeah so how would you how could you um you know profit from the stable coin revolution
and I think that um well the most obvious one initially is you’d think about purchasing
the native crypto coins and gas tokens of the blockchains where most of these stable coins are
issued and transact on yeah so that’s the likes of Ethereum Salana and especially well I mean
Tron because that’s one of the fastest growing and they’ve generated the most a lot of fees from
stable coin use in Southeast Asia especially yeah where stable coins you know and again as we’ve
as we’ve pointed out many times stable coins are particularly popular in some of these emerging
economies like like you find in Southeast Asia and Tron is yeah we we covered Tron on for for Coin
Bureau Club members we did quite some time really really interesting project but yeah stable coins
are are big there big big yeah um Salana meanwhile um has also managed to uh um maintain its supply
of stable coin yeah especially after the Trump um after the Trump mean coin on boarded a lot of
stable coin supply and soul many thought could it would it you know flow out again but it’s managed
to maintain that but a big one here and a real dark horse and we’ve talked about it a few times
especially in the news last week is of course Ripple’s RLUSD and this specifically relates to
their um purchase last week or two weeks ago of a massive prime broker called Hidden Road for
1.25 billion and the significance of this for RLUSD as well as XRP cannot be understated because
of the fact that I think that RLUSD will be used as a settlement currency with Hidden Road and
obviously that’s more demand for the XRP ledger and XRP as a currency so that’s very interesting
and you imagine that there’ll probably be quite a few XRP holders out there looking to borrow
RLUSD against their against their XRP holdings a proliferation of XRP DDFI in the XRP ecosystem
yeah exactly and I mean there’s a lot of there’s a lot of liquidity locked up in XRP so that could be
that could be bullish for the wider market as well um meanwhile it’s not just the fact that there
are L1s uh running these um these stable coins of course there are also the companies behind
the stable coins themselves the most obvious one uh that we’ve mentioned already is Circle um now
Circle is preparing for its IPO it was going to IPO back in 2022 um and thanks to uh FTX and
the resulting market uh wipeout that got that got postponed um but they’re back i think they
have actually postponed their IPO again um Jeremy probably like “Oh god you’re kidding me i was just
getting ready i was just getting ready first it was getting rugged by a crypto project and now by
the president of the United States messing up my IPO plans i just wanted to bank my circle equity
bro just I just want to go public i’m so tired.” um you’ve actually spoken to Yes I did this last
year at the Binance blockchain week um and I asked him specifically about this but he obviously
couldn’t talk too much about the IPO itself but yeah I think that um there is a lot Circle has
big plans um uh now obviously I think you you did a video on Circle’s IPO and what it could mean
but there is one other company that you know is already listed that actually gets 50% of Circle’s
revenue yeah this was this is mad this is mad so Coinbase obviously with its uh with its Coin stock
yeah so um Circle had to release uh financials as part of this IPO disclosure um preIPO disclosure
and uh yeah it turns out that um because of an that Circle and Coinbase used to be part of the
center consortium um circle wanted uh wanted out so they reached some agreement and yeah Coinbase
gets 50% of the reserve back absolut yeah yeah so I mean yeah Coinbase is not going to be short
of cash as if we as if we thought it was going to be anyway um there’s also So uh PayPal PYUSD
yeah slowly growing paypal is of course a listed company um and um now that’s of course uh stable
coin issuers but you could also look at potential D5 protocols that issue stable coins defi
decentralized stable coins the likes of Make a Dow uh Sky or is it now still Make or Sky i mean uh I
can’t remember whether they changed back anyways make a DAO and then there’s Athena obviously and
Athena’s really hidden the lights out um and and those obviously they’ve got governance tokens that
govern the protocol the likes of Sky I think Maker and then you’ve also got uh Ethena as well uh
which has got the ENA token so those are potential um stable coin issuers in terms of not issues
but like protocols that issue decentralized stable coins that you could look at mhm um yeah
uh meanwhile um Galaxy Digital um has also come out with a recent report on stable coins as well
and the state of lending in crypto exactly um we’re going to cover that but I think this is
another another one that you can invest in is of course infra infrastructure and defi right
so there’s other things that bring this all together in the borrow lens sector so things like
Ave Solend Swedend in different sectors obviously they also have uh governance tokens which you can
invest in uh but yeah this Galaxy Digital report which we’ll be breaking down in a video uh you’ll
see that the growth of we can pull that chart up again you’ll see the growth of DeFi stable coin or
DeFi lending apps so this relates to the likes of Ave Soland etc has grown quite considerably since
the massive wash out we saw we saw in DeFi whence once these centralized issuers such as blockfy
sales etc went went bankrupt so that’s one more um sector you could potentially look at if you are
looking to get exposure to this really exciting ecosystem yeah so I guess at the end of the day
you know when it comes to when it comes to crypto when it comes to the transfer of value you know
Bitcoin Bitcoin is digital gold now um but stable coins have hit this sweet spot because across
the world people want access to the US dollar most people live in most of most of humanity lives
in countries where the national currency is much more volatile much weaker than the US dollar okay
we’re all we’re talking about all fiat currencies here but the dollar is the best of the lot um and
stable coins are you know US dollar denominated stable coins are giving people access to this
currency you anyone with an internet connection um and you know an exchange account or whatever
can now get access to US dollars and that is that is really big it’s very powerful exactly a massive
hedge to their very unstable currencies cool now um of course if you guys have stable coins or you
want to buy any of these tokens we’ve mentioned in the stable coin sector that could give you
exposure to the stable coin sector um there’s no place better to do that than on Binance the
first of our brand partners so if you sign up with the link down below in case you don’t have a
Binance account already you will get a six a 20% trading fee discount uh for life as well as a $600
bonus very good very good um so you can buy it on Binance and you can secure it on Ledger ledger are
our second brand partner here they have a couple of new devices on the market at the moment the
Ledger Flex and Stacks um both very good very easy to use um can we bring them up on the screen can
people see them uh there they are uh touchscreen devices as well and there is a special deal if you
use our link in the description below you’ll get a gift card loaded with $30 worth of Bitcoin to get
you started exactly um now moving on to our third brand partner this is Arkham Intelligence this is
the premier onchain tracking tool and they shared with us a few um interesting movements last week
that they didn’t disclose on their Twitter account and one of these was firstly a whale wallet moved
over 25K in ETH um hold no holding over 25K in ETH since 2022 has sent 7,448 ETH to Falcon X as a
deposit now Falcon X is I think an institutional exchange so what do you think they’re going to do
guy more ETH selling nick I think the ET sellers are not tired man the EA sellers are the real
David Gogggins they still David Gogggins on speed bro okay well so that’s yet more good news
for ETH that’s what we needed um meanwhile Galaxy Digital uh Arkham also flagged this up they’ve
been moving some significant amounts of soul from exchanges yeah exactly um and also staking a fair
significant amount of it as well i if I recall Galaxy were one of the biggest buy or one of the
biggest buyers of the locked FTX soul so that’s interesting but of course if you guys are based
in the US and you can’t access Binance and you want to uh trade as well Arkham Exchange is also
available for you they’re um now live in many US states and if you use our link down below you’ll
get a 50% off of trading fees for the first month so that’s the Arkham Exchange link down below
guys very good and a big thank you to all of our wonderful brand partners okay let’s now have a
look at the top performing cryptos from last week nick do you want to kick us off yes the first one
is Core so now this is this is a Bitcoin layer 2 staking protocol um now it uses dual staking
and um in order to earn enhanced rewards you have to stake not only the BTC but you also need
to stake the core token so that potentially means more buying pressure for the core token and less
supply it was also recently cited I believe in a misari report yeah yeah so Bitcoin and I think
this is kind of perhaps reflective of the sort of wider market altcoin’s really suffering but people
sitting on a lot of BTC and thinking well I want to earn a yield on this um so core obviously core
is not the only uh BTC staking protocol um but interestingly I was looking it has has around 2.3
million followers on X which is quite a lot for for a relatively new project I think um okay next
up is one that I think has uh featured a few times in the top gainers and that is Betensor and Tao um
now the only reason I could find why Betensa seems to be doing well is off the back of an interview
that Ral Powell did with Barry Silbert ah yes he’s a big big towel bull right he’s been shilling the
hell out of Tal um yeah and uh it’s interesting that I I saw a snippet from that interview and
apparently he said that uh if he just bought and held Bitcoin the bit the Bitcoin that he bought
in 2012 when he first started buying Bitcoin 2012 2013 instead of try to invest in crypto businesses
he would have been a lot richer which goes without saying i mean wow and this is Barry Silva well I
mean to be fair mate it is DCG which owned Genesis and yeah which has had it which took its fair
share of L’s i think what’s really interesting about this as well is that Barry Silbert doesn’t
really do much in the way of interviews he’s not being very visible he hasn’t so credit to Ralph
for getting him involved yeah so maybe that’s why you know the fact that he’s uh Barry Silbert is
kind of willing to to to come out and talk about it uh is interesting um and Betensa recently
gained its first $100 million subnet ah as well so definitely seems to be activity picking
up there next one next one is ASI artificial super intelligence alliance uh so they recently
released ASI1 extended it’s the most advanced iteration of the web 3 native LLM uh so that could
have been driving a lot of the bullishness there yeah this seems to be a bit of an AI track
in general um the next one up is uh Render um tricky to find a a particular catalyst for this
other than excitement around AI render Con just uh just finished i think there was a lot announced
there um what’s the latest news from Render Con oh agreeing to tracking it i know you’re watching it
with I was I was glued to it i will fill you in i will fill you in render there was all sorts to
talk about there um look you know baby I can’t What else would explain why why these things are
pumping god we got to buy Render cuz Rendercon is going on guys don’t short Rendercon that’s what
I’m telling you that’s what I’m telling you you heard it here first okay and last but not least
Hyperlid Hype yep seems to be Yeah they go in again seems to be one of the um only recently
launched projects that’s managing to thrive in this environment dgen’s are of course looking for
risky markets given how weak spot trading is and they’re growing very fast they take in they in
terms of growth trading volume and everything and they list in a lot of the latest coins as
well they seem to be able to move or willing to move a lot faster than centralized exchanges
are yeah and like you said I think what with the spot market being a little bit unexciting at
the moment people are people are looking to go go and leverage going long and yeah they seem to
have completely um shrugged off the concerns well not concerns the issue with that uh jelly jelly
thing two weeks ago three weeks ago so it’s good yeah they’ve put that behind them okay uh right
let’s have a look at some tweets of the week yes so first up we have this one from Kelly Gri this
is there is the marginal buyer for Bitcoin all of these you know nine people there he is i
I love the fact that they’ve got a Frenchman sailor goes French at least the French the French
are buying as well as well as the the hoodie guys the hoodie hacker yeah uh this uh this is a sort
of well wellworn meme this but never gets old um so yes thank you again to Michael Sailor for for
keeping the market propped up uh next up we have this one from Sahal uh cryp crypto 16 years ago
versus crypto now ah Satoshi would be so proud you know this is exactly what we were thinking about
with the decentralized permissionless finance a blockchain for pimping yes yes i did not know
base was for pimping i didn’t know either but I subsequently did discover that so you know
if you do if you guys are thinking of pimping Bass is where you need to be doing it okay okay
well I’m sure I I think there was a passage on uh on pimping in the white paper i Yeah it was
in the appendix yeah oh it was in the appendix the most optimal way to pimp okay okay i knew I
You got to read the whole paper you’re missing all these gems i just haven’t I haven’t looked
through it for a while i need to refresh myself on the white paper and all the pimping references
okay uh next one this folks is why gold has been doing well yeah exactly can you believe it man i
there is a seriously non-zero chance that someone knew about this going out beforehand because this
did helped pump the gold market it’s crazy but it really happened you know yep yeah and I think
it’s difficult as well because because gold is an international commodity that’s that’s not
easily traced someone could have bought stacks and stacks and stacks of gold and you would
not be able to tell and you would not be able to trace it you would not be able to identify
whether it was inside a trading so crazy yeah okay so pump uh Trump pumping gold um let’s hope
he pumps pumps all our crypto bags next week uh next one is from Iron congratulations Sam that’s
great news buddy six years i think this is his this is his Facebook and someone’s friends with
him on Facebook and he’s completed six years at FTX it must be a lustrous career for him yeah
must be going great freshfaced guy yeah yeah he must be doing very well for himself oh wow six
years that’s great great to see great to see Sam doing well okay and we also have this one from
Zack V nobody is an atheist at 50x leverage the greatest things ever written on this app every you
turn it up to 100x and you become a a steward of every single faith there is please God please
God anyone pray to whichever I’m going to pray anyone anyone who it is any deity it is I’ll
pray to it just make sure I don’t get liquid hated yeah well like they say there are no uh no
atheists in foxholes oh that is so true okay uh Nick any dates for the diary we should be aware
of this week yeah yeah uh the I think there’s a few so there’s basically to this week is a big
earning season especially for at least two of the mag seven which are really important as they
drive a lot of the stock market tomorrow we’ve got Tesla earnings um so they’re announcing close
of close of play so 5:00 p.m eastern time keep an eye on that as well as uh speaking of Mag 7th on
the April 24th we’ve got Alphabet also reporting um okay okay 24th is actually a busy day because
there’s also the initial jobless claims coming out as well 215k was the previous reading and um
220k is expected of course very important from the perspective of seeing what the temperature is
like on the job market given the tariffs etc okay okay so a few dates for the diary as well um I’m
just scrolling through someone someone pointing out to me that I was flattering myself and George
Clooney is actually in his 60s listen listen i would take I would take looking like a 60-year-old
Clooney than a 40some year old guy that’s that’s for sure um okay uh let’s see uh also um someone
is pointing out guy is so obviously not French uh yeah i mean I didn’t expect you were French
no was there was there talk of me being French am I Am I missing something here well okay so I’m
not getting away with being French mia poof okay um so Eldrid 32 says “I’ve been hearing about
the Genius Act for three years now.” Well guess what Eldred you’re going to keep hearing about
it you’re going to keep hearing it but this is time the the the the law making process is is not
a quick one no I’m afraid um meanwhile Phillip uh Philillip is saying “Did I not say in these
comments about two weeks ago to just hold tight and that we would move up against soon?” Uh I
think I did what is What’s What’s Philip’s profile picture are those a pair of Crocs and a book they
better not be Crocs are they a pair of Crocs and a book phillip we got to have a talk about the I
tell you what you get Nick started on the subject of Crocs there is a dress code in this office you
can wear anything and everything you can even come to the office in your underwear but if you wear
Crocs it’s a fireable offense i mean you can dress like Nick dresses but Crocs that’s it that’s it
i’ve got my got my trainers on has anyone else no okay sliders sliders are fine sliders are fine
um okay uh Gas Fifi says “Praise Satoshi we don’t hear that enough.” Yeah absolutely praise Satoshi
and look at his profile picture that’s Black Adam i love these guys that is a profile picture
can you wear that in the next dream guy please speaking of a Brit you could be like pretend
to be black we can have a nice deals insert with you as black hatter okay and with your
with it pencils yeah gosh I Yeah I could do that i I I can channel my own accent i once
did a Mr bean as a deals oh yes you did yes yes that was the one of the best yes yeah um uh
uh Kek Kekomg says “Great show.” Thank you very much my friend um and uh yeah lots of talk about
uh Sooie in the comments as well there’s a Sooie event coming up soon there is it is the uh base
camp I believe which we will be attending yes yeah we’ll be at it this is in going to be in
Dubai as well around the time of token 2049 so we’ll see looking forward to that see you guys
there um yes there was talk of guy being French who um Gas Fifi says “Yeah a guy is a French
spy it’s obvious two nice teeth.” Oh okay so indictment on the Brits no yeah I think it’s I
think that’s more a comment on British teeth than uh than French teeth um drones MBF has some
financial advice for us buy high sell high okay that’s what most people tend to do unfortunately
okay they capitulate near the bottom okay and uh Eagle 7500 says “Stay strong everyone the elites
are bullish.” They are they’re buying bags indeed whale wallets are increasing okay good to know
good to know so the elites are bullish and you guys are the elite so you should be bullish
