Gate, one of the world’s leading crypto asset trading platforms, has announced that it has officially launched web access to its TradFi section, building on existing app availability and exiting the public beta phase. With the launch of the web version, Gate TradFi offers full multi-device coverage, further expanding usage scenarios and trading entry points for traditional financial assets on the platform.
TradFi is Gate’s contract-for-difference (CFD) trading section for traditional financial assets, allowing users to trade price movements in major global assets such as foreign exchange, metals, indices, commodities, and selected popular stocks within a unified account system, without actually owning the underlying assets.
After web launch, users will be able to seamlessly switch between the app and web with integrated account funds, risk management, and position data, improving trading continuity and operational efficiency.
At the account and asset management level, Gate TradFi maintains a unified account architecture. Users do not need to open separate accounts to trade both cryptocurrencies and traditional financial assets in the same gated account that covers spot, futures, and TradFi. This supports cross-market portfolio strategies and multiple asset allocations while reducing the complexity of operations across multiple platforms.
On the funding side, TradFi uses USDT as collateral. When you transfer USDT to a TradFi subaccount, the system automatically displays it as the internal pricing unit USDx on a 1:1 basis with no additional conversion or storage fees.
The overall workflow is simple. After updating the app or logging in via the web, users can access the TradFi section, enable relevant permissions, transfer funds, select instruments, and manage orders and positions, lowering the entry barrier for traditional financial asset trading.
In terms of trading mechanics, Gate TradFi employs CFD rules aligned with traditional financial markets, including fixed trading hours and market closures, cross-margin mode, and long and short hedging. The platform is integrated with the MT5 trading system, ensuring stable execution, risk management, and synchronization of position data.
In terms of leverage, Forex, Metals and Indices support fixed leverage of up to 500x, while Stock CFDs support fixed leverage of up to 5x, primarily for experienced traders with risk management capabilities. In terms of trading performance, since its inception, Gate TradFi has exceeded $20 billion in total trading volume and over $5 billion in daily peak trading volume, reflecting continued growth in overall trading activity and liquidity.
In terms of asset coverage, Gate TradFi supports a wide range of traditional financial assets such as Forex, Metals, Indices, Commodities, Selected Equities, covers key products such as Gold, Silver, NAS100, SPX500, etc., and provides integrated access to cross-market assets through multiple trading formats.
Notably, TradFi CFD trading fees are as low as $0.018 per order, and the rates on major assets are fixed rates adjusted by VIP level. Positions held across market closures will incur overnight fees in accordance with standard market practice. Overall, the fee structure is transparent and offers clear cost advantages among comparable trading models.
Additionally, in terms of product operations and user incentives, Gate launched several TradFi exclusive campaigns. The TradFi Launch Celebration was held from February 2nd to 22nd, during which the platform offered a total reward pool of $150,000 and distributed various rewards such as gold and silver to users.
Meanwhile, the “Gate TradFi Gold Lucky Bag” campaign has fully distributed 1,152 grams of gold and the second phase is about to begin. More TradFi promotional events will be introduced in the future.
With public beta now out and full multi-device access in place, Gate has established a unified trading framework that spans both crypto and traditional financial assets.
