Bitpanda, one of Europe’s top crypto trading platforms, is expanding rapidly. Brazil is next.
In this exclusive interview, CEO Lukas Enzersdorfer-Konrad discusses growth plans, Stablecoins, Defi, and the company’s unique infrastructure strategy.

Since 2014, Cryptography has become accessible
For those who don’t know about the company, can you give a quick intro to Bitpanda?
“Bitpanda is Europe’s leading crypto company and provides a reliable, regulated platform for digital asset investments.
Founded in Vienna in 2014, we were the first to make crypto accessible to retail investors. Since then, it has expanded to over 3,200 assets, including over 600 cryptocurrencies, precious metals, stocks, commodities and ETFs.
Today, we serve over 7 million users and partner with top financial institutions around the world. ”
What does BTS (Bitpanda Technology Solutions) offer and who is your current partner?
“Bitpanda Technology Solutions is an infrastructure-as-a-service platform that enables banks, fintechs and even crypto companies to offer asset transactions.
It is modular, fully integrated and regulated when necessary. Clients include other European and Middle Eastern countries such as Deutsche Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, N26, Rakbank, and more.
They rely on us to provide seamless, compliant crypto access and are embedded directly into our services. ”
Expands across Europe, the Middle East and Ratum
How many regions is Bitpanda active, and what characterizes each?
“We are active in Europe and the Middle East and are expanding globally, and each region is unique.
Europe focuses on compliance, scale and regulated alternatives. In the United Arab Emirates, there are strong momentum and clear rules from Vara.
Our infrastructure allows us to adapt quickly and meet local requirements everywhere. ”
What is the Latam plan in particular in Brazil? Do you have any partners lined up?
“Brazil is a natural next step for us, with a young, tech-savvy population and a growing interest in digital assets.
He has built a local team led by Rafael Teruszkin and is actively researching partnerships. We are already in advanced conversation.
Regulatory activities in Brazil add a strong layer of security. We will share updates in the coming months.
Our market approach is always responsible, compliant and localized. ”
Defi, Stablecoins, and Real World Assets rebuild funds
How do you see the future of digital assets in the near future and long term?
“In the short term, we expect more institutional adoption and regulatory clarity. Cryptocurrency will be integrated deeper into mainstream finance.
In the long run, tokenized real-world assets, stablecoins, and defi/cedefi use cases become structural parts of finance.
We are still early in the process of achieving the full potential of this technology. ”
What is the success of traditional players who enter the crypto space?
“Success depends on speed, route to the market, and trust. There was a good time to build three years ago.
But partnerships are a faster route. Choose the right partner, embed the cryptography properly, and prioritize compliance.
Those who think long-term, build trust and provide real user value win. ”
Build a practical on-chain economy with vision
Recently, I launched Vision and Web3 tokens. What is your outlook on the on-chain economy?
“I want Web3 to be more accessible, regulated and convenient. That’s why I created my vision.
Connect real-world assets, staking and loyalty into a transparent on-chain ecosystem. It’s not experimental, it’s practical.
As the on-chain economy matures, we aim to lead the way in the tools people actually use. ”
When will the Bitpanda Defi wallet be available in Brazil?
“We don’t have a launch date yet, and we want our wallet to meet both our standards and the expectations of the Defi community.
Brazil is on our list. There is a strong interest in non-radical solutions and adoption of broader digital assets. ”
Why a “panda”? And does “bit” represent bitcoin?
“I wish there was a better story. Honestly, the domain was cheap and I liked the name.
We wanted a “bit” in it, so we wanted animals. Bitpanda sounded good. Friendly and powerful. It got stuck. ”
